November 11: Veterans Day Celebration

Join the city of Gatlinburg in saluting American veterans with musical numbers and words of tribute. Since 2000, this event has been hosted on November 11th to honor the nation’s veterans for their service and sacrifice, thanking those who gave – and continue to give – so much to keep our nation free.

November 8: Winter Magic Kickoff & Chili Cookoff 

City dignitaries will signify the beginning of Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic with a ceremonial lighting of more than 3 million lights throughout the city. A chili cookoff competition with recipes ranging from mild to wild will be going on at the same time. This event is sure to get you into the winter spirit with performances, street vendors, and much more!

November 21-26: Great Smoky Thanksgiving Arts & Crafts Show

The Gatlinburg Arts and Craft Community is the nation’s largest organization of independent artisans, and this festival allows their members to show and sell their unique handcrafted gifts. Jewelers, painters, potters, weavers, quilters, and many more artisans will set up vendor booths while live music plays.

 December 1: Fantasy of Light Christmas Parade

Come watch the award-winning, 42nd Annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade featuring lighted floats, marching bands, equestrian units, giant balloons, and Santa Claus! 

November 7- February 28: Winterfest in Sevierville

The town of Sevierville is decked out in lights from November 7th until February 28th for the Smoky Mountain Winterfest Celebration. There are over 15 million lights in a 25-mile radius!  There are various activities held throughout the month, including Santa safari, photos with Santa, arts & crafts and night shows.

December 31: New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks Show

Welcome 2018 Gatlinburg-style with the Annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop and Fireworks Show! This family-friendly celebration is one of the largest organized New Year’s Eve events in the nation with nearly 50,000 people gathering to ring in the New Year.

November 27- December 3: Great Smoky Christmas Arts & Crafts Show

The Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community is back again with the area’s largest selection of unique handcrafted gifts at their annual Christmas show. 

December 6-9 : Bluegrass Christmas in the Smokies

Each year this music festival attracts hundreds of fans to Pigeon Forge to enjoy the seasonal sounds and sights of Christmas. With shopping, food, and all kinds of bluegrass, this festival is fun for the entire family!
