The Smoky Mountains are a year-round draw.
No matter what the season people travel to East Tennessee
and North Carolina to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains
National Park and wonders like Cades Cove. The good news,
or even better news, is that there’s even more than
the natural beauty of the area itself to draw people here.
The culture, charm, and festive nature of local Tennessee
cities such as Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Townsend
are almost as well known as the Smoky Mountains themselves.
Throughout the year, there are events taking place that
aim to celebrate Smoky Mountain culture. This celebration
includes the culture of original European settlers (as
found in places like Gatlinburg), and also the Native
American culture of the Cherokee Indian band and others
native to the region.
Summer time is an especially exciting time in the Smoky
Mountains. Music and drama festivals galore take place
in and around the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
No matter what your entertainment preference, it’s
almost guaranteed that you can find a cultural expression
to your linking during the summer time celebration season.
As a service to our valued customers, we at Majestic Mountain
Vacations like to make current celebration/event schedules
available. Below we have put together a list of some Gatlinburg,
